Shadow Throne...

I sit in the silence of the Spruce cathedral,
Hearing and seeing,
Patches of sunlight drift down through the canopy above,
A needle carpet at my feet,
This place where time is shattered,
And I search the quiet for the scent of soul,
Something missing in that other world outside.

Every rustle and every breeze carries a scent,
Sweet pollen or musty old leaves,
Seasons turn me back to the beginning of time,
Leaving me to think that only this stone is real,
This hard thing that bears my weight in a place of surreal beauty,
Where my feet rest and my heart dances.

Words are the mind's bridge - it's connection to all the universe.
Love is the heart's bridge - it's connection to all other souls.
Loving words can work miracles.

In the silent reflection of things gone by, we remember and gild the best, pray for the redemption of the worst, learn our lessons and move forward, hoping and dreaming of the betterments to come. Wishing us All the world-over a blessed, peaceful, and prosperous New Year and Decade...
