Cat...Atonic...

Feline friends run in your dreams,
As always - independent,
Willful yet ignorant,
You try to coax them away from where the nightmares live,
But they're frisky and lure you closer,
To the point where sweat and worry wake you...

...and there the hungry little things are,
Staring at you.
