Atlantis...We lost her,
Slipped between the waves,
Magical and mythical,
Or maybe not.
Was there a time before time,
All men and women spoke a common language,
All colors were equal and equally needed,
Magic was more than a dream?
The Earth rocked and volcanoes rolled,
Sea rose and land fell,
Knowledge became only dreams,
Mist and steam fogged history.
They say Atlantis was beautiful,
Grand and accomplished,
A wistful grace and strong face,
Everything we could have been.
I wonder,
Deep and blue I wonder,
What lies below,
What is under the sea?
