Minibike Summer Haiku
I just put in gas.
The minibike moves summer fast.
Speed bought for a dime.

My eighth birthday present was a lawn mower engine minibike. I lived in Genoa, NE. I had trails all over and roads with nothing but cornfields for company of gravel. 1970 and a childhood dream come true.

Oh, by the way, the dime? That's what it cost then to fill the tank. | |||

Even without your message at the end I saw your endless summer days flashing past you as you rode your minibike. A very good Haiku. |
